Who we serve

Powerfully Peaceful brings practical tools for self-regulation, mindfulness, movement, leadership, and social connection into the places where people already learn, work, gather, and grow together.

Our programs are designed for children, teens, families, educators, community organizations, and workplaces. Each program can be adapted to the age, setting, and needs of the people we are serving.

High school students & youth programs

Leadership, 200-hour yoga teacher training, mindfulness, self-regulation, confidence, and public speaking for teens.

Our youth programs help young people build confidence, self-awareness, emotional regulation, leadership skills, and practical tools for managing stress.

Through our Youth Yoga Teacher Training, high school students can go even further, developing teaching, communication, leadership, and mindfulness skills while working toward a 200-hour yoga teacher training experience.

Elementary Schools & Children

Age-appropriate yoga, mindfulness, emotional regulation, focus, relaxation, and classroom wellness programs.

Our elementary programs bring simple, age-appropriate yoga, breathing, mindfulness, relaxation, and self-regulation practices directly into the school day.

Children learn tools they can use in real life: how to settle their bodies, focus their attention, manage big emotions, sleep more peacefully, and respond to stress with greater awareness.

Programs can include classroom sessions, family participation, teacher support, and opportunities for children to share what they have learned with others.

Families & Community Programs

Family yoga, kids yoga, mindfulness, stress reduction, nervous-system reset practices, and community wellness programs.

Powerfully Peaceful community programs create spaces where people can move, breathe, slow down, connect, and learn practical tools for reducing stress together.

Programs can include family yoga, children’s yoga, mindfulness classes, nervous-system reset practices, stress-reduction workshops, meditation, and community wellness series.

The goal is not simply individual wellness. It is to help create healthier, more connected communities where people have accessible tools they can actually use in everyday life.

We partner with parks, recreation departments, community centers, nonprofits, and other public-serving organizations to bring structured wellness programming directly into communities.

Programs can be offered as short workshops, multi-week series, seasonal programs, youth leadership initiatives, or longer-term partnerships.

Powerfully Peaceful curricula are designed to be practical, adaptable, and easy to implement in real-world community settings.

Schools, Educators & Youth-Serving Organizations

Schools and youth-serving organizations can bring Powerfully Peaceful programming into classrooms, after-school programs, enrichment programs, and student leadership initiatives.

We work with organizations interested in supporting attention, emotional regulation, resilience, confidence, compassion, leadership, and stronger relationships among students.

Workplaces & Organizations

In Our Graduates’ Words

Reflections on learning, teaching, and personal growth with Maria.

“I took my 200 hour teacher training through Maria and have done several different workshops with her since meeting. … I learned so much about the alignment and cueing into poses as well as the history and philosophy behind yoga.

Beyond yoga though, I have learned so much about the emotional experience through her. … Her willingness to step in and feel with you, and gently guide you with her love has been so healing for me.”

Emily Lethola Yoga teacher training graduate

“The yoga teacher training that I took with Maria has done more for my mental health than any therapist or self-help book. … What I learned from Maria has been an essential tool to help navigate these stressful times.”

Alexandra Kouame Yoga teacher training graduate

“I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training with Maria and it was a life-changing experience. Maria is an amazing teacher and mentor. Her classes are very unique as she works on alignment and the profound connection between the asanas and yoga philosophy.”

Carolina De Los Rios Yoga teacher training graduate

“Maria is, first and foremost, a deeply compassionate teacher. Her yoga teacher training goes far beyond learning how to teach poses. She continually adapts the experience to meet each student where they are, helping them become the teachers they are meant to be.

… Her classes were focused, interactive, and deeply engaging, and they gave me the confidence to lead my own students with knowledge and presence.

… Her training did not simply help me become a yoga teacher. It helped me become a better human.”

Kathy Young Yoga teacher training graduate

“Her classes are structured to allow students to examine, be challenged, and ultimately to grow. … Her deliberate approach to meditation practices allowed me to explore and ultimately adopt meditation as an integral and necessary part of my own health journey, and now it is a key component in every class that I teach as well. A debt of gratitude for enhancing my journey!”

Bob Fleischman Yoga teacher training graduate

“Maria is an excellent guide and teacher. … Despite the entire program being virtual—I felt so supported, challenged, nourished, and connected throughout the whole program.

… I especially appreciate Maria's focus on alignment and precision with cues in asana classes, as well as her deep connection and commitment to the spirituality and the philosophy of yoga. … Her guidance and presence are gifts to the world!”

Walker Johnson Yoga teacher training graduate

“What first drew me to Maria’s teaching, and what keeps me going back, is that she acts as a guide. In her words, she helps each of us find our own inner teacher and helps guide us back to ourselves when we struggle in that search.

… I would recommend any of Maria’s classes or workshops, as I have found some deep healing and self-acceptance from my years of working with her. … The community of people that she draws into her groups are some of the nicest people I’ve known and have developed life-long friendships with others in these classes.”
